Get More From Your Camera with a Little Help From Your Friends

Gary is the photographer on our team. His photos win awards. My photos? Not so much. I am always looking for ways to improve, whether I am taking shots on a luxury cruise to post on social media, or simply playing around with one of Gary’s cameras. I can’t imagine a better way to improve my photography than to spend time practicing with coaching from experts.
Best Buy photography tours are exactly that kind of coaching. Stores in select cities are offering a series of half-day photography tours, with instruction from professionals for only $50– and that includes lunch, transportation and a goody bag (you know I’m a sucker for goody bags).
You’ll get to play with lenses and accessories and get professional help with settings and lighting in real-world settings. Each tour has a theme. The July tour revolves around pets and people. In October, it’s my favorite subject–travel photography. The series wraps up in January with a session on social sharing. And did I mention that if you share your photos on social media with the #BestBuyPhotoWorkshops you’ll be entered to win Best Buy gift cards or a dream photography package? Kind of makes the whole deal a no-brainer.
Here are the participating cities:
Seattle, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, New York City and Minneapolis

Your city not included, or maybe you’re not quite ready for a half-day session?
No problem. Your Local Best Buy Camera Experience (located in the center of the store) has experts offering two-hour, one-on-one workshops. And once you’re done, take the next step into the upcoming Photography Workshop Tours on 10/20 and 1/19. You can sign-up to be notified when these go live for registration in the fall/winter.
