Townhouse Galleria: Better Than Ever

New Entrance

Recent remodeling has positioned the Townhouse Galleria as one of the premier city-center hotels in Milan. The entrance, which was previously tucked away in a courtyard, is now directly on the street and only steps from the west portico of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. The unassuming elegance is obvious right from the front door. The elevator whisks you up to the lobby, where you are met with warm smiles and the five-star service that pushes the hotel to the pinnacle of luxury.

Same spectacular views of the Galleria

Not every room has a Galleria view, but the ones that do offer something that no other hotel in Milan can: amazing views inside the Galleria itself. The ability to throw open the curtains and see the recently-rejuvenated art and architecture of the Galleria is reason enough to stay here. Add in the convenience to shopping, performances at the Teatro della Scala, plus the magnificent Duomo and its piazza and there would seem to be no reason to stay elsewhere.

Rooms that Soothe

Whether you are just in from an international flight or a long day of shopping, the rooms offer a quiet respite from the busy pace of the city. The heavy windows overlooking the Galleria can be opened to take in the atmosphere, but when they are closed, they effectively block the echoes of shoppers below.

The rooms are equipped with coffee makers and the bathrooms are a delight. Some have showers and deep soaking tubs, others have showers only.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

There’s no need to drag yourself away from the luxury. The Ottagano Restaurant on the lobby floor serves a complimentary continental breakfast buffet overlooking the Galleria. It then transforms to serve light meals and cocktails. Wood-fired pizza is around the corner through the Galleria at I Dodici Gatti (Twelve Cats) overlooking the glass-domed Galleria roof. To sample the authentic cuisine of northeastern Italy, head to Pavarotti Restaurant Museum.
